This book includes sixteen poems by Tolkien, two featuring Tom Bombadil with the balance representing bestiary poems and fairy tale rhymes. Tolkien was encouraged by an Aunt to release something similar to Beatrix Potter’s Little Books and engaged the artist Pauline Baynes to create some accompanying illustrations.
This copy is in near fine shape, A wonderful acquisition for the Tolkien completist enlarging, as it does, upon the middle-earth legendarium.
