Limited to 1050 copies: 50 on Japan imperial paper and 1000 on tinted vellum. This copy is No. 24 of 1000. Illustrated with original aquarelle plates. Colophon states: “Achevé d’imprimer le 25 Janvier 1926 par Ducros et Colas à Paris.”
Bound by René Kieffer, who also served as editor of the series, in full red morocco with gilt-stamped spine and bold geometric gilt and inlaid tooling on the covers. Top edge gilt, original wrappers bound in. The binding carries Kieffer’s bindery label of René Kieffer Reliures the inside of the second front endpaper.
Condition: Near fine, with only a few slight nicks to the outer binding. Interior clean and fresh, illustrations bright.
