Issue Number Twenty-Six, published in 1937, included contributions from Eugene Jolas and James Johnson Sweeney. Eugene Jolas, an American writer and translator, was the editor of "TRANSITION" and a strong advocate for linguistic experimentation and the breaking of traditional narrative forms. James Johnson Sweeney was an influential art critic and curator known for his work at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
An important and difficult issue to find.
