A near fine or better copy. This was the author's first play & the only one to succeed during her lifetime. Originally titled by Rand, "Penthouse Legend", the play was first produced in Holywood under the title "Woman on Trial", but later Broadway produced under the title Night of January 16th. This version edited by Nathaniel Edward Reeid, was published in play book form for performance by amateur companies. This title was not issued in hardcover until 1968. Perinn B3.
