Throughout his life he was able to successfully combine the roles of satirical & academic writer, university professor & public speaker. Witty & humourous franked Signed Autographed Sentiment in wonderful Leacockian style. " .V. Sincerely / or in French - they say it - / so much better / je vous prie mademoiselle de recevoir l'expression de / ma plus parfait considération / Stephen Leacock". Rendered with a flourish in dark blue fountain pen. Framed & glazed to an overall size of 13" x 19" 1/4 in a fine gilt finished frame, double matted in windows [6" 1/2 x 9, 8" x 2" 3/4] with an original black & white photo of the author showing minimal wear. Excellent example.
