Mary Barnes Hutchinson was a well known socialite, member and a muse to the Bloomsbury Circle of intellectuals. Her cousin Lytton Strachey and Duncan Grant introduced her to the group and she hosted many lavish soirees. She was a model for Vanessa Bell, and Henri Matisse and many other artists. Mary Barnes Hutchinson had many long term and intimate relationships as with Clive Bell for twelve years, as well as liasons with Aldous Huxley, Vita Sackville-West and many more even though she was married. She was very close with Virginia Woolf and T.S. Eliot and notable in the BLOOMSBURY world.
Ian Campbell-Gray was a four times British fencing champion, winning the épée title at the British Fencing Championships as well as a director and painter.
A lovely addition for all BLOOMSBURY collectors.
