Small crown 8vo., 172pp. A lovely copy in cinnamon cloth, showing light use, (usual very modest offsetting to endpapers), gilt titles to the spine, neat archival repair to the spine extremities, contents clean & free of names & blemishes, neat small bookseller's ticket to rear pastedown; in a very good, bright, Vanessa Bell designed dustwrapper showing minimal use but missing part of the original spine panel which has been supplied in excellent manuscript sympathetically restoring the original design; the front & back panels, & flaps are original & in extremely nice condition. In a custom designed cinnamon cloth slipcase with the Hogarth Press wolf's head logo embossed on the side. Woolf's major polemic against patriarchy, based loosely on two lectures she delivered, one at Newnham and the other at Girton. Kirkpatrick And Clarke A12a. Woolmer 215. Woolf observed in her diary, "I shall be attacked for a feminist". An increasingly uncommon Woolf title and 20th century highlight.
