Friend / HST / 11-12-98 / Hunter" in addition Thompson adds on the spread a reference to the death of Artist Earl Biss as follows, "Thanx for Earl Biss he got off easy ...H". An outstanding association copy. Considering the manner of Thompson's passing, it's kind of insightful. An extremely 'Cool' book - just what you'd expect for a Thompson collector. Thompson's semi-autobiographical first novel, written in 1959 when the author was only 22 years old. long thought lost & only finally published in 1998. Adapted for the screen with Johnny Depp reprising his role as Thompson begun in FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS.
