Likely a very early printing in a supplied dustwrapper. Basis for the aclaimed movie adaptation which won Academy Awards for Best Picture & for Elia Kazan as Best Director, & actress Celeste Holm. The movie also received five additional nominations, including one for Gregory Peck as Best Actor. Hobson's second & most famous novel. An important book about anti-Semitism in America causing a sensation upon publication so soon after WWII.
