A fine copy of the wrappers & content; the covers showing some use at the extremities of the spine. Edouard-Léon-Louis Legrand [1892 - 1970]. French book illustrator from Bourdeaux. Worked for the Tolmer publishing house in Paris. Starting in 1933, traveled extensively throughout Europe & North Africa, with several longer stays in Morocco which strongly influenced the motifs in his works. After WWII traveled many times to the United States, where he worked as an illustrator for various publishing houses. A superly talented artist.
