Montreal: Editions Erta, 1954.
1st Edition. Soft cover. Signed by Author. An Excellent Association Copy. First Edition Inscribed and dated on the half title by Giguère in the year of publication to his close friend, Ivar Labrie who along with Giguère, Gilles Robert & Conrad Tremblay were in fact the founding pressmen, typesetters & designers for the press. From 1949 through 1960, 29 ERTA titles were published. This creative period in breakthrough French Montreal / Quebec poetry & experimental graphics publishing corresponded perfectly with the very explosive efforts of English Montreal's Contact Press. The 50's producing much of Canada's best small press achievements in either language. One of 100 hand-numbered copies on Japon Laurentic of a total edition edition of only 350 copies. A fine example [minor rubs to the extremities of the spine] in the publisher's pictorial stiff wrappers featuring an original serigraph by Albert Dumouchel. 12mo. 30 pp. BNQ 12. An exceptionally important copy.
