Around the turn of the century :)-, we started making a handsome custom line of hand-crafted protective collector's modern clamshell cases. We design these to include embossed 'sculpted' covers inspired by book wrappers & cover illustrations like Daisy's face on the rare Gatsby jacket. The cases are finished in a selection of traditional leathers, fine cloth, custom marbled papers or Nuba® or any creative combination. Nuba® is a fine, supple & durable covering with a neutral ph that has the feel of velvety soft Italian Nubuck® leather. These case are purchased by TBCL's book clients, direct clients & the trade.
